UNIQA AG – Vienna
Challenge
The brief was for a system which allowed the work of Swiss artist Pipilotti
Rist to be displayed on the ceiling of two spaces in the UNIQA Tower,
which was designed by star architect Jean Novel. The project also required
it to be possible to change individual parts of the installation sporadically.
Solution
We developed amorph LED ceiling displays especially for this project. These
were directly integrated into the construction of the illuminated light ceilings
and enabled the artist to control them with her content. The solution is also
easy to service thanks to the magnetic pixel maps it consists of, as these can
be detached from the front.
