S[quadrat] completes project in Zurich Airport.
The advertising screen is now in place!

18 May 2011
S[quadrat] GmbH has successfully completed
the "advertising screen" project for Zurich Airport together with
its partner Sony Europe. An eye-catching screen has been instal-
led for waiting passengers in the departures hall of the airport.
The departures hall is popular with people waiting for their flights
and now these guests can receive information and watch adverts
while they wait.

The screen is located directly above the bar, where a large struc-
tural element juts out directly from the floor above. The screen
was installed in a cut-out section in the outer wall of the structure.
This places it in an excellent position to be visible to guests. The
controls for the new system are located in the service room behind
the screen. In order to ensure an aesthetically pleasing design and
an effective transition between the screen and surrounding wall space,
we complemented the screen with a black frame running around the
entire length of the unit.

Airport operations continued as normal while the system was being
installed and were not interrupted or disrupted by our construction
work. The fact that the public had access to the area around the con-
struction site during the installation process meant that increased
safety, speed and organisation was required. We were able to deliver
on all threeand successfully complete the job to the full satisfaction of
the customer.

New large sports order for S[quadrat]: The Arena
Nürnberger Versicherung

09.05.2011

In the first few months of 2011, S[quadrat] GmbH had
already received two large orders for stadium systems through its partner
Sony Europe. The stadiums in Thun (Switzerland) and Toulon (France) are
due to be equipped with S[quadrat] LED SO [10/20] NT video displays as
well as the content platform system S[quadrat] SX [ScoreboardTV] in the
next few weeks.

In the National Stadium in Bucharest (Romania), the company has al-
ready provided the turnkey installation of a mobile LED video cube via
its partner Max Bögl Bauunternehmung GmbH & Co. KG. This encom-
passed the installation of four S[quadrat] SO [10/20] NT video displays.

The delivery and assembly of the 202 m SI [16 SMD]NT video fascia
display for the first tier of the stands and the 24 m² S-quadrat SO[16]
NT video display forthe exterior of the Arena Nuremberger Versi-
cherung now represent the fourth large sports order that we have
received this year.

This order also includes the delivery and assembly of a 24 m S[quadrat]
SI [10 SMD] NT video banner display, which is due to be installed below
the existing video cube.

Further interesting and challenging large projects are already on the horizon.

Andreas Brockschmidt, authorised representative of S[quadrat] GmbH added
the following: "This clearly shows that our newly developed NT products with
their innovative SX control system are making great waves within the market.
This makes us really proud and we would like to thank our partners and custo-
mers for the trust that they place in us."

LED for Frankfurt's PalaisQuartier

Conceived by lighting designer Prof. Stefan Hofmann – realised by S[quadrat]:
A new LED media pylon is set to be a real eye-catcher in Frankfurt's PalaisQuartier in future.
We received the order for this exciting project from our partner Can-Do GmbH & Co.KG in Frankfurt.

The free-standing LED media pylon is six metres high and 3.2 metres wide, and is equipped
with a 15 m² S[quadrat] SI [20 SMD] NT LED video display. The installation is attractive from
front to back, with its brushed stainless steel casing also sure to turn some heads.

Equally as amazing is the media programme created by Prof. Stefan Hofmann. Its content will
be displayed via the SM [Player], which we developed in-house. Up to now, we most notably
implemented this technology at our project for Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn to great effect –
the SM [Player] has been displaying media on the Telekom Bridge for the past year.

Putting our products through their paces

Good preparation goes a long way – this isn't just true for athlete
sthemselves, but also for sports event organisers. And therefore also for us.

That’s why we are working hard to put the S[quadrat] SX [Master], the SX [Control]
and the SX [ScoreboardTV] hardware and software through their paces. Our testing
efforts are focused on gearing up for the sports projects due to be launched over the
next few weeks with our partners Sony Europe and Max Bögl. S[quadrat] products
are set to be implemented in four projects in total: Bucharest's National Stadium,
Stadion Thun as well as sports stadiums in Toulon and Turin. These projects will include
the turnkey installation of our LED video display SO [10/20] NT, which is part of our
newly developed product range featuring NT technology.

Germany & China in Amsterdam

Designed in Germany – Manufactured in China. At the ISE in Amsterdam, we proved
just how well the cooperation between Germany and China works, even when it comes to LED
display systems. How? With an intercultural trade fair booth.

Together with our Chinese partner Retop, we showcased some seriously impressive technology
which focuses on providing real, practicable solutions. The latter is a must nowadays, as the
challenges faced by our customers are growing all the time: Viewers' expectations are increasing,
while budgets are being cut right, left and centre. Furthermore, today's technology should also
take into account what will be possible tomorrow – forward-looking development is therefore key,
as is real quality and value for money.

And these are three commitments that S[quadrat] delivers on for its customers, particularly with
the products it has developed in-house. Visitors to our booth were especially interested in projects
that have been implemented using our SX[Master] - SX[Drive] - SX[Control] systems. We also
relished the numerous conversations with customers from all corners of the globe. We are delighted
to have established so many new contacts and to have met with existing customers who visited our
booth and saw our new corporate design.

Our brand-new look, developed by the Brockschmidt advertising agency, received positive reviews
all round – a real success. We can hardly wait to show off our new corporate design again in April,
this time at the PALME 2011 in Dubai.

S[quadrat] for Bucharest

The first goal to be scored in the newly built National Stadium in Bucharest
is sure to rouse great emotions, and S[quadrat] will ensure that every spectator
in the stadium gets to see it in all its glory. From May, the stadium is set to get
a video cube weighing 50 tonnes and hanging directly from the stadium roof.
No wonder it is such a weighty creation – it consists of four LED displays, each
boasting a generous 32 square metre surface. And it is these LED displays which
allow S[quadrat]'s SO[10/20] NT-video cube to bring spectators all the action in
crystal-clear quality. In addition to developing the video system itself, we are also
responsible for planning the installation, the steel construction, the lifting device
and programming the software which controls the video cube. The assembly is
due to be completed in June, all set for the first goal to be scored in the new
stadium in August.
