Max Planck Institute – Dresden
Challenge
The Max Planck Institute set us a challenge called the "glass balustrade".
This system was to be located directly behind two steel girders, which the
screen should be installed between. This meant finding an alternative solution
to servicing the system.
Solution
Due to the unusual position of the system, we had to conceive a method
of servicing the display from the front - a challenge we mastered using
magnetic pixel maps that can be detached from the front. In addition, we
designed and constructed the casing, installed the speakers and integrated
the display controls into the overall media control system.
