Frankfurter PalaisQuartier
Challenge
This was a project which required both brains and style. The building owner, Frankfurt
am Main-based MAB Development Deutschland, wanted to display the heads of Frankfurt
personalities (the "Frankfurt Faces") as part of an installation in the entrance area of the
PalaisQuartier. Technology and creativity therefore had to be combined to provide an
exclusive, high-quality end product. The internationally renowned light artist Prof. Stefan
Hofmann was appointed to offer the creative input for the design while the S[quadrat]
team provided the product-related know-how. We were specifically chosen for the project
after demonstrating our ability for technical innovation on other art projects.
Solution
With a view to making the installation both cutting-edge and high quality, we selected
the S[quadrat] display SI [20 SMD] NT for the project and installed it in a free-standing,
upright position in the entrance area. The brushed stainless steel casing ensured that
the display exudes an exclusive appearance which also matches the existing atmosphere
and interior design. The display is controlled using the S[quadrat] SX [Master] LED controller.
